Executive Bios — Dr. Frank Cannizzaro

Dr. Frank Cannizzaro is Vice President of Operations for EMS Defense & Space Systems. Appointed in 2005, he is responsible for the management and lead service area operations for the metal and ceramic machine shops, ferrite production, microelectronics and CCA service areas instituting stream-lined “pull” production flow methods. Dr. Cannizzaro joined EMS in 2000 as Principle Program Manager for Defense & Space Systems. In that role, he successfully managed the integration and test team that produced a multibeam antenna for the most advanced fighter in the world.

Prior to joining EMS, Dr. Cannizzaro was a Senior Engineering Specialist for Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems. He managed multi-customer participation design review meetings and obtained FAA Certification/Military Acceptance for multiple systems. Dr. Cannizzaro brings a blended background of negotiating contracts and requirements with customers and suppliers that consistently met production schedules and exceeded profit margin expectations. He received the Lockheed Martin STAR award for project engineering accomplishments.

Dr. Cannizzaro holds Doctorate, Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University.
