Executive Bios — Lamar Day
Lamar Day is Vice President of Business Management for EMS Defense & Space Systems. Appointed to his current position in 1998, Day is responsible for all aspects of contract and subcontract management- USG, commercial, domestic and foreign. In addition, he supports proposal preparation; fact-finding and negotiations, new program start-up activities, financial planning, reporting, analysis and export compliance- ITAR and EAR. Day has extensive knowledge and experience with the FAR, DFARS and CAS.
A seasoned business management executive, Day joined EMS after serving in multiple finance and program administration roles for Harris Corporation and Scientific Atlanta. He served for 7 years in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Sergeant at the White House Communications Agency.
Day holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s degree in Contract and Acquisition Management from Florida Institute of Technology.
